Environmental planning in the construction of sports facilities

Carrying out large sports events often involves building or modernizing facilities. In some cases, brand new sports venues must be constructed. In order to minimize interference with nature and the landscape, or to compensate for it where it cannot be prevented, German law includes extensive regulations governing the construction of sports facilities.
